AOZ1915DI - New member of the AOS EZBoost™ boost regulator family Boost Regulator with Internal Schottky
The new member of Alpha and Omega Semiconductor’s EZBoostTM boost regulator family, AOZ1915DI, is a high-performance 600kHz/1.2MHz current-mode boost regulator. It is the smallest fully integrated boost regulator solution featuring an integrated 1.5A boost switch and an internal Schottky diode. Competing solutions typically utilize an external Schottky diode, and can’t deliver the same amount of power in this small footprint. The high switching frequency allows the use of low-profile inductor and capacitors. The current-mode control ensures easy loop compensation and fast transient response. Other features include input under-voltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal shutdown and programmable soft-start. With its 2.7V to 5.5V input voltage range the AOZ1915DI is a perfect solution for generating supply voltages up to 22V from system supply rails.
The AOZ1905DI is available from setron in 4mm x 3mm 12-pin DFN package which can operate over -40°C to +85°C temperature range. Competitively priced it targets all applications in the consumer market like LCD TV, LCD Monitors, Notebook Displays, PCMCIA Cards, Hand-Held Devices, GPS power, TV tuners.
