PowerStor® High Capacitance Aerogel Supercapacitor Packs PHB and PHV

Battery support, hold-up, memory back-up and pulse current applications

The new high capacitance 5.0 V and 5.4 V PowerStor® aerogel supercapacitor packs PHB and PHV series for battery support, hold-up, memory back-up and pulse current applications expand the Cooper Bussmann portfolio of advanced technology power management products.

High capacitances (up to 5.0 F) enables a long hold-up time for last time transmit and high power RF transmission and ESR levels as low as 65 mΩ (@ 1 kHz) ensure minimal voltage drop during peak current demand increasing the amount of power that can be delivered to the load.

The PHB series deliver long operating life and low leakage current that are ideal for applications such as automated meter reading, asset tracking and keyless entry. In addition PHV series are suitable for remote monitoring, RF transmission, DSL modems, motor start up, valve &solenoid actuation, and flow control applications.  

These supercapacitors packs operates from -40°C up to +85°C (with linear voltage derating to 4.0 V at 85°C) and are available in horizontal and vertical mount packages. The PHB and PHV series are RoHS compliant, halogen and lead free.
