The German distributor setron based in Braunschweig announces the take-over of all business shares of "pk components Elektronische Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH" on 01.01.2010.
For more than 25 years, pk components has been a player in the field, having a sound reputation as distribution partner for passive and electromechanical components. The company focuses on a specialised selection of renowned suppliers in order to provide their customers with optimum design support. The distributor with headquarters in Nürnberg currently has approximately 40 staff, maintaining distribution offices in Berlin, Essen and Stuttgart.
After the acquisition pk components will continue to work independently, the company location and structure remaining the same. However, existing synergies will be put to good use and the common product and services portfolio will be extended. Existing partnerships with suppliers and customers will also remain unaffected and will even be reinforced. The experienced manager and industry insider Reinhard Hackmann will assume the function as managing director with immediate effect. To ensure smooth hand-over, the present managing partner, Udo Tillmanns, will continue to work for pk components as a consultant until the end of 2010.
"setron and pk components are an ideal match. The roots of both companies go well back into the Sixties and Seventies, and as family owned-businesses both have adhered to common business ethics", says Michael Klammer, Managing Director at setron GmbH. „Both enterprises set great store by the same values and personal service, they supplement each other in their line cards and convince by renowned expertise in the fields of logistics and design-in." With this strategic acquisition setron, ranking among the top ten players in the national distribution market for electronic components, purposefully aim at further extending their standing in vital European markets.
